My partner says that the shapes and lines of my current art are a lot more defined and confident now ☺️ and that I hide behind the bloom a lot less

I do suppose that’s a good thing, diffusion/bloom can be added on afterwards anyway

30 min self study-- I always loved this Tataru doodle I did years ago and is kinda my current goal post for getting back to a certain quality, so I tried to redraw it without eyedropping colors

On the side, I've been working on a "non-XIV" version of Anju (her design's already pretty non-canon anyway) that I may use as promotional art! Making her more like an OC that I could use anywhere else, basically. #LapynneWIP #OC

Imo it’s mainly a matter of understanding form and volume! I’m not quite there yet, I think people who do it well are definitely in the masters level so I have a long way to go hahaha

I like the upper half of the hair, very well defined volume but I can't seem to replicate well with the bottom half of the hair? Maybe it's bec it's wispy and layered...? #WIP #LapynneArt

I think the original one encapsulates the "pog" emote better, but I can see my improvement in terms of eyeballing color values!

For whatever reason, I woke up with my left should feeling absolutely trashed and my right elbow all funky 🥲 so I won't be getting progress done on comms today unfortunately

I will however be finally doing Arcadion today😆
Finished latest MSQ patch last night, so I'm caught up!

Also when the water level lowers beneath the filter it sounds like a mini waterfall. Or like someone’s peeing in my office. Quite relaxing!

I just did a big water change and filter clean because it clogged & the nitrates were too high, so there’s a chance the plants might throw a fit again

The pennywort’s been a hit or miss with some of the stems. One is flowering, the others shrivel up, all dry (stems broken maybe? Not getting water?)

So something interesting happened to my little aquarium bowl

After I got some pennywort to help suck up all the nitrites and nitrates, some straggling duckweed got in??? And started multiplying???

Like idm but what the heck lol

Also the bacopa is green again!! Hopefully I don’t jinx it

in other news.... the teal-colored Lapynne design is growing on me.......

i know i was still using my OG pink one... but maybe i'm ready to make the switch!!!!
