Today’s announcement shows the Government is determined to deliver exactly that ✅

We owe men growing up in Britain today far better than the toxic views and scams peddled by the Manosphere.
But too often, we see boys as problems in waiting rather than exploring what they need from us.
Great to bring MPs and experts together to discuss how we can do better.
There are too many harms online that are targeted at men and boys, which damage them directly and then hurt and harm women and wider society as well
So I was more than up for signing this letter alongside other colleagues, organised by @alistrathern.bsky.social who has done so much work on this
We owe our young men and boys far better than the harmful extremes peddled by the worst corners of the internet.
But taking on the ‘manosphere’ demands action, not words.
That’s why the Labour Group for Men and Boys has convened MPs to demand Ofcom steps up and acts.

I know how overlooked many of our rural community who rely on heating oil for home heating can feel.

Government investment in 1,600 more GPs is welcome, but in areas like ours where we have seen significant growth we need larger GP surgeries too ✅
If we’re serious about the climate, nature and energy crises we can’t afford to pit clean energy against nature.
We can do far better at delivering energy projects without ripping up crucial habitat protections.

Step by step we’re delivering an NHS that’ll be there when we all need it 🏥
Later votes in Parliament this evening, but well worth it to support lifting hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty.
Plenty more to do, but don’t ever let it be said this Labour government isn’t making a difference 🌹
As a teacher, children’s services lead and now an MP, it’s been devastating working with young people and families failed by the broken send system.
There is plenty to scrutinise, but after over a decade of systemic failure today’s reforms are a huge moment to put this right ✅

As an ex-children’s services lead I know the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support fund really matters for those who rely on it.
Last year’s uncertainty caused understandable concern.
Im glad the Government is acting, extending it to 2028 and increasing it by 10% for 26/27.
