we need more & we must demand more. The Legislature has put forward a plan to raise $10 billion to close the NYC deficit, establish a childcare workforce fund & expand the program, keep people housed through vouchers and more. Putting out a plan for 1/20th of that and taking a victory lap is wild.

For years Hochul has resisted calls to raise taxes on the rich - now that the public pressure is insurmountable, she has put forward a plan that is entirely insufficient. For context, $500 million is 8% of the City’s deficits and that’s completely ignoring the needs of the rest of the state.

A friend invited me to go perfume shopping today & I like to buy a scent for the season. I smelled so many wonderful things that I loved but landed on one bottle from a small nyc-based brand and I got home and realized that I own 2 other perfumes from different brands made by the same perfumer
