Happy collecting day for me, as I now have all of Sega’s Console exclusives for the Wii! The Conduit 2 was such an uncommon pain to hunt for that I decided to just get one online.

Now it’s different for everyone but I’ve learned that doing too many shorts, especially if they aren’t tied to your long-form videos to drive traffic, it can hurt your long form like what happened to me.

Personally I think your personality and energy would be an excellent fit for long form videos!

I'm still gonna do my best on YouTube tho, as I've got way too many stories to tell and projects to craft to let this stop me (as long as our bills are paid & stuff 😅)

I've made a few more adjustments to my catalog over there that should help the new long-form videos shine, but as of now, no more Shorts aside from clips from long-form videos. Unless that's all you do, screw YouTube Shorts, man.

I've said that my biggest fail on YouTube was not uploading much during peak lockdown, but I think focusing too much on Shorts in '24 & '25 could be worse (especially it's why I got demonetized for 9 mths).

I'm probably gonna be in the algo doghouse for a long time while I try to reset my channel.

I'm not trying to sound all "woe is me" or seem ungrateful, but there's a stark difference when you look at how I've grown on Twitch compared to YouTube.

Algorithms suck and the communities are vastly different, but when it comes to the red content machine but you really get what you give.

Thank you so much, Reky. I think the first way to prevent the heart jabs when the number drops is understanding the why. I may had been wrongfully demonetized, but I still confused my audience.

I just hope that more people have been patient with me than my brain believes.

Just like I'm embracing the modern me, I'm taking my channel back to its roots of why I started my YouTube journey in the first place.

Sega, as a whole, is my first love when it comes to content creating. Sonic may be the anchor, but he's not the captain of this ship.

Those who subscribed from those Shorts will probably bail when my REAL creations drop (if they haven't since the 9-mth demonetization). Shame cause I have long-form Sonic goodies coming, but the tunnel vision is real.

I know I'll be losing a lot of YouTube subscribers with me resetting my channel to what it was supposed to be before I let those Sonic Shorts take over.

Harsh perhaps but it was one of my biggest mistakes there; tasting that viral rush and feeding it with just that, until the algorithm punished me.

I've heard great things so I can't wait to dig into it!
