This Data Center Is Getting a $77 Million Tax Break to Create One Job No other project in the country has gotten such a large subsidy to create so few jobs, according to watchdogs.

A New Jersey data center will reportedly receive $77 million in tax breaks — while only creating one permanent job.

One job, in exchange for higher utility bills, noise pollution, and potential groundwater pollution.

Is it any wonder communities are organizing to stop data centers?

Concentration camps. If objective is to close camps, voters must view them as vile & without any merit. Many voters believe "detention facilities" are necessary for law/safety. Plus they fit legal definition of concentration camps (which is NOT same as extermination camps.)

We should have seen this coming as one of the likely outcomes of an election win in 2024 with the failure to charge, prosecute and convict the insurrectionist former president whose course of violative actions relied heavily on “stolen election” disinformation.

Wolfgang Kalecks leidenschaftliches Plädoyer für das Völkerrecht Die Welt ist aus den Fugen: Das Völkerrecht scheint obsolet, eine internationale Krise jagt die nächste. Wie also weitermachen?

"Wir müssen die Dramatik der Ereignisse anerkennen. Aber trotzdem müssen wir alles tun, um für eine bessere Zukunft zu streiten. Und dabei werden uns Menschenrechte und Völkerrecht helfen. Sie werden nicht das Allheilmittel, aber Hilfsmittel sein", so Wolfgang Kaleck gegenüber ttt.

75 years ago, the Treaty of Paris was signed, establishing the European Coal and Steel Community.

Six countries joined forces to build a shared market, choosing cooperation over conflict.

Born from the desire for peace after WWII, this treaty laid the foundation for the Union we know today. 🇪🇺

Opening text of a thread by Palantir from X
Because we get asked a lot.

The Technological Republic, in brief.

1. Silicon Valley owes a moral debt to the country that made its rise possible. The engineering elite of Silicon Valley has an affirmative obligation to participate in the defense of the nation.

2. We must rebel against the tyranny of the apps. Is the iPhone our greatest creative if not crowning achievement as a civilization? The object has changed our lives, but it may also now be limiting and constraining our sense of the possible.

3. Free email is not enough. The decadence of a culture or civilization, and indeed its ruling class, will be forgiven only if that culture is capable of delivering economic growth and security for the public.

4. The limits of soft power, of soaring rhetoric alone, have been exposed. The ability of free and democratic societies to prevail requires something more than moral appeal. It requires hard power, and hard power in this century will be built on software.

Palantir put out a 22-point summary of their CEO's book The Technological Republic. It's pitched as a defence of the West, but if you read it through the VDA framework, verification, deliberation, accountability, what it's actually doing looks rather different.
