π§Ά with how hot it's getting in north carolina, and how busy I've been with school, socks have been the perfect project. i should be done with this pair soon! #knitsky #knitwip
A hand knitted pair of socks knitted from a faded skein set in semi solid olive green shades laying on a wooden background. The fade is called Bean Stem and dyed by Samelin Dyeworks.
The second pair of faded 𧦠using the Bean Stem Mini Fade from Samelin Dyeworks @samelindyeworks.bsky.social .
I didnβt use a ready made pattern, but a stitch dictionary. The knitting stitch is called the broken seed stitch.

In America, we can't eradicate racism with law or policy. But we can make racism shameful again. Doing so is ultimately a political and cultural act, and it must be a conscious one. And it is an important part to restore some semblance of our liberal democracy.

Flat lay photo of the front piece of a hand-knit raglan sweater. The sweater base is pink and has psychedelic banana motifs all over in bright pink, orange, red, turquoise and black.
Flat lay photo of the reverse side of the front piece of a hand-knit raglan sweater. It looks relatively tidy for an intarsia-knit sweater that has a hundred yarn tails woven in.
Frontnanas ππ
So. Much. Banana.

After weaving in ends for what seemed like an eternity, it's finished. The latest sheep jumper. 14 little sheep. Each a different pattern. Like a sampler of Nordic knitting patterns. Huge fun to design and knit!

i wanna actually make internet knitter friends via #knitsky but it feels so weird to actually TALK to people even if we're mutuals π«£ i cant be the only one who feels like socializing on the internet is scarier than doing it in person lmao
i have a little papercut on my thumb and i have accidentally stabbed my 2.5mm knitting needles *directly* into it 4 separate times tonight ππ
π§Ά some progress on a self-drafted raglan knit from #knittingforolive merino and compatible cashmere. I got the inspiration to do the purls in the center of the raglan seam from the Sunday Brunch Sweater pattern. i love how crisp it looks! #knitsky
it's been a rough week. as a chronically ill person, stress & anxiety create a vicious cycle. I'm stressed, which makes me tired and sick, which gets in the way of my life, which makes me more stressed, which makes me sicker.. and so on π glad it's over, but so not ready for a new week
knitting hot take: i get *so bothered* by the foot posing/flexing people do when they show off their socks. i can't possibly explain why but it makes me sooo uncomfortable πππππ am i alone in this????
π§Ά it's #fofriday and i finished my 2nd Teranika last night! it's actually very chilly today so I'm happy i get to wear it! #knitsky #finishedobject #colorwork
pattern: Teranika by Kirsten-Michele Kukulski
yarn: cascade heritage, madelinetosh twist light, & sewrella nylon sock
every time i wear it someone asks me what's on my sweater, and i love that because it doesn't read as an in-your-face floral motif!
π§Ά T is for Tulip!
Pattern is: Tulip Pullover by Lindsay Degen (on #ravelry and the degen.us website)
i LOVE this sweater and its abstract motif. it was also a really unusual construction for me being knit flat and seamed! (but I don't have nearly enough pictures of it)
