Yes, the giant transport bot is going to help the construct SecUnit pretend to be human. This will go well.

A picture of the book STRIXHAVEN: OMENS OF CHAOS by Seanan McGuire with the text NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER printed above it on a purple and gold background.
Headline on Hollywood Reporter that reads ”Paddington 4, Escape From New York' Reboot in the Works”
I misread the headline as one movie and got very excited for a moment…
The Mo*Con Academy is nearly upon us. It’s hard to believe we started doing this in 2006. THIS IS OUR TWENTIETH YEAR OF DOING MO*CON! And my (former?) student, Rianna Butcher, made this flyer.
The news is out - Blue Fox are publishing @paulcornell.bsky.social's fantastic new novella 'Last One Out in Lychford' - sign up link to the Kickstarter below!
Artemis II crew photoshoped as Borg.
Artemis II has returned!
Note to self: I will try to not prejudge someone based on the reputation of their peers and colleagues.

It's good to be reminded sometimes, that your job needn't define you as a person, that sinking to the level that outsiders expect of someone in your role is a choice not a default, and that people generally respond well to being treated with genuine respect.

This individual demonstrated (and continues to demonstrate) humanity and generosity when it didn't benefit them. And yes, one would hope that this is the base setting of being human, but it's not expected in this individual's industry.

Vaguepost alert!
I've been communicating with someone for the last few months, who works in a specific role in an industry traditionally regarded as superficial, uncaring and insincere, if not outright Pecksniffian.

I didn't take to him at first, as they were introducing him, but he's really grown on me. And I think he's perfect, now, too.
Alas, all too many people happy to jump straight into that job! Or one very similar to it.
Daredevil Born Again, episode 2.4.
Now *that* is how you do Daredevil, and *that* is how you do Bullseye.
And that opener!

Welp. The Texas of Santa Fe County is about to pull a Brexit. This'll end well. www.facebook.com/TownOfEdgewo...
21 mins on the phone with Barclays fraud dept. 3 mins to go through security, 3 mins to confirm payments they were querying were made by me, then 15 mins spent on hold. (This is for transactions made 2 days ago! Hardly on top of things, are they?) No wonder people are leaving for Monzo in droves!
Waitrose or Lidl?
Ok I have seen a GOOD APRIL FOOLS JOKE in the wild.
My kids comic (Phoenix - home if @jamiesmart.bsky.social) comes in an envelope every week, we open it, had a fake cover for a soup review mag like we’d been sent the wrong thing.
Genius!
This is truly special.
Blue, green, yellow, green, yellow.
Happy Transgender Day of Visibility to all the trans people I know, those I am yet to meet, and everyone else, too.
"Dear people of the UK, when you go to vote on May 7th, just before you write the X in the box, count to 10 and think about what's happening in America. A quick recap below:"

Jools' Hour was the best Doctor Who episode I've seen in a year #SNLUK
Enjoyed SNLUK again, but wouldn't it have been nice if Janie Dornan had learned his lines instead of so obviously using cue cards? It's not like there were more than 10 minutes of dialogue for him in total across the show.
I have decided that the sci-fi equivalent of romantacy is “data bang”. You may now start applying it where appropriate.
Just a few days left in which to vote in the 2026 Hugo Awards.
Here are the books I worked on that were published in 2025, with a note on their eligibility. All are worthy of your consideration.
If you are eligible to vote, please do. It doesn't have to be for these, but please use your vote.
Hugo Nominations Chart showing numbers increasing on March 21st
With just days to go the pace of Hugo nominations is picking up! If you're one of the more than 7700 people eligible to nominate this year, you can help make the process run smoothly by nominating sooner rather than later.
Moth, a fluffy cat sitting on a garden chair on the sunshine. She was one of our Tiffany/RagDoll crosses.
She went to sleep this evening for the last time. Tomorrow morning I wil dig her grave in the garden. She died too young and will be missed.
(If this post feels a little formal it's because I'm still a little numb.)
We are delighted to announce that Titan Books will be publishing two new horror novels from @garethlpowell.bsky.social 🖤
