As I don’t live in the UK anymore, the Welsh clinic initially said they could see me but now (after pushing) have agreed to give me a first appointment but won’t actually give me any treatment. I am now waiting again for this appointment. (6/9) #TransDayOfVisibility
When I told them the Welsh clinic didn’t receive the transfer, they told me they had checked and actually they had! I called the Welsh clinic again and found that the transfer was sent *after* my appointment! (5/9) #TransDayOfVisibility
The reason they transferred me was because I am now registered in Wales, except I told them I moved to Wales in 2021! The Welsh clinic has a 16 month waiting list so, had they transferred me when they should have, I could already have been seen. (4/9) #TransDayOfVisibility
They give me a new appointment 6 weeks later. I showed up and this time they told me they’d transferred me to another clinic without notifying me and so, again, I couldn’t do the appointment. I called the new clinic and they had no record of me or my transfer! (3/9) #TransDayOfVisibility
After waiting 6 years, I was finally offered my first appointment in Feb. I told them I was in Germany so they gave me a video appt, but then — in the appointment — they told me they do the appointment because I wasn’t in the UK! (2/7) #TransDayOfVisibility

Tall grey cliffs being battered by a rough sea. Older grey Lewisian gneisses and black amphibolites are intruded by salmon-pink granitic pegmatites and aplites of Late-Laxfordian age. The cliffs are located near the Mangersta bothy on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis, Scotland.
My OH is a keen walker and getting quite good at photographing interesting geological locations. This has gone to the top of my Spring excursion list.

I asked once whether beets are more or less purple than turmeric is yellow.
Chemist friend was around and 15 minutes of calculation later we determined turmeric is more than 100x as yellow as beets are purple.
I poke, prod, and occasionally squeeze rocks to see if one bit of rock is slightly stronger than the bit next to it. I will travel great distances to poke just the right rock!
This is why one of my 2025 resolutions is to move more of my digital life over to apps like YouTube. More of us should.
