Quick (very late) note on Boxography. I've been on hiatus but am coming back. The past several months have been extremely busy, so I've had to put my time in other things. I hope to be making videos again in about a month. I'll probably kick it back off with one I've been wanting to do forever.

I’m opening a new service.
I come from a graphic design background, and I work professionally as an illustrator, pixel artist, and art director, with experience in games and audiovisual projects.
I’m now available for book cover design and artwork, especially for independent and small authors.

Hey, happy 30th birthday GameFAQs! Launched on November 5th, 1995!
The earliest scrape I can find on Wayback is December 1996, but I doubt the site changed much. But yes, here it is in its earliest days as the Video Game FAQ Archive!

I just got in the mood for a Final Fantasy podcast, and started browsing/searching for some (I don't remember, but I think I was searching specifically in the Pocket Casts app). There are a lot of FF podcasts, but I picked out a few promising-looking ones, and yours was honestly the best.
@finalfantasypod.bsky.social Hey just wanted to say I discovered you guys' podcast recently and love it. Keep up the good work.

I still remember the first time I bought a game and didn't immediately play it. I was like, "What is happening to me?"

A press release titled "Electronics Arts announced first CD-ROM release: The Labyrinth."
It's been a while since I've had my heart pounding while going through new materials. This is the original press release for The Labyrinth of Time, the obscure CD-ROM adventure game that lit my fuse ~30 years ago
An ad comparing the Sega Saturn vs. the PlayStation. All their arguments are about how Sony is new to video games and doesn't understand the business like Sega does, and also the Sega Saturn is more fun. There is conspicuously little mention of the PS1's hardware capabilities and software portfolio.
Newly scanned from us: an ad from the trade magazine Videogame Advisor (November 1995), which has Sega vainly telling retailers not to support PlayStation, right after the PS1 famously undercut the Sega Saturn
