Dr Danny Chambers MP sits alongside 14 other members of the Animal Welfare Bill committee. The Bill passed the committee stage on Wednesday 14th May 2025 with cross-party and government support.
Animals have been suffering at the hands of criminal abusers for far too long. Thanks to cross-party support today, my Animal Welfare Bill can have a bigger impact than I'd ever have hoped to achieve had I remained in veterinary practice treating individual animals.
Brilliant to see the Bill pass Committee Stage yesterday with so much support, thank you so much Danny for everything you’re doing for animals.
50 days until my Fur (Import and Sale) Bill returns to Parliament.
By banning imports, we can finally end our part in the cruel fur trade, two decades after we banned fur farming.
Let’s get this done.
