The post sounded interesting enough even though I didn't know anything about Amir. I lucked out, he answered, I worked for him and he later advised my undergrad thesis. I'm still around in the academic Financial Econ world and got to catch up with him and see him present at Columbia GSB!

About 16 years ago I sent an email to Amir Sufi as an undergrad asking for any RA job he might still have. A job post deadline had passed. I had a tad of interest in Financial Econ but also really wanted another campus job besides an admin work-study.
