a moment of silence for everyone's shoulders, wallets, and existing to-be-read piles. you went to bookchella. you survived. you thrived. you carry the evidence.

two days on the USC campus surrounded by books and the people who love them. this is what we train for.

if you've never been to the LA Times Festival of Books, it's free, it's enormous, it's april 18-19 at USC, and you have no excuse. come.

the amount of tabs i have open is a cry for help that no one can decode.

there is nothing more optimistic than buying a magazine. you are saying “i will have a slow moment. i will sit down. i believe in this.”

we are a magazine account but also: are you okay? have you read anything lately? drink some water.
