Last week we hosted a co-analysis workshop bringing people together to make sense of communiMap data.
We spotted patterns, challenged assumptions, and brought experiences into the analysis. It showed the power of looking at data together with communities at the centre.

Last Thursday, we wandered with #InvisibleCities from Govan to #UofG
We crossed the Govan-Partick bridge, paused at a bee garden, spotted blackberries tumbling over a wall. A butterfly landed just long enough for us to notice.
Walking slowly, paying attention & sharing biscuits together at the end.

we ate good food, met new people + swapped stories about growing things

i remembered shelling beans with grandad for sunday lunch, old memories + new ones sitting side by side!

the world feels heavy sometimes… but i think meeting people + sharing seeds + stories makes it lighter. maybe even better

This will be great! We will be joined by members of the wider GALLANT team, come along and meet us! 😊

On June 5, our own Chris joined an invisible cities walking tour from the Pearce Institute to the Glasgow Science Centre 🌿

He shared his GALLANT journey and explored the Wee Forest 🌱 - a great example of how urban nature can boost biodiversity and community wellbeing.

Big thanks to Parents for Future Scotland for hosting the Air Pollution Event at Glasgow City Chambers! 🌍

Our GALLANT Community Collaboration team had great conversations with pupils, parents, teachers & councillors about active travel and cutting air pollution.

Medical student Abba spent 5 weeks with us researching the powerful impact of green spaces on our health and wellbeing. Her findings reveal what many of us intuitively feel: we NEED nature in our cities.

We had a brilliant Compost Co-Lab meetup at the Hidden Gardens last Friday 🌿

Jenny shared a peek at her compost zine, and we now have a ready-to-use compost pile for the raised beds 🙌 Next up: we'll be conducting science tests to see how it compares to shop-bought soil!

On Sunday we launched the newest site for our Compost Co-Lab in collaboration with Movement in Thyme and Glasgow Autonomous Space. We’re turning household and community meal waste into a valuable resource that nourishes herbs and plants, enhancing local biodiversity and community resilience. 🌱

The Compost Co-Lab Zine Making is underway! 🎨 🗞️ 🌱

Today we teamed up with GZL to explore creative ways to document and share our compost stories. From painting with inks made from compost, to collage and photocopying, we learned, created, and had a blast doing it!

🌱🛠️ Busy day building compost bays at Agnew Lane! We're setting up our newest composting site, exploring how community gardens can partner with local cafes to reuse coffee grounds. Instead of waste going to landfill, we're turning these grounds into rich, quality compost.
