Trees have other benefits too - food (top fruit, nuts), shelter (my lambs are currently under the trees in the April showers), browsing (my cows enjoy willow and hazel), fuel (we coppice alder and hazel), fibre, materials - sustainable housebuilding needs more forestry products…
