I like how you also think about your professors and what they said back in university. I have the same thing, but then it’s a delicate game to balance between their opinion and your own gut feeling.
I’ve had this happen, it’s a type of gut feeling I get! It’s usually stronger if I have been painting a lot, but if I have had a long break then it’s harder to tell.
I’ve also had to practice this. I would keep working on the details forever if I don’t stop myself! 🙃
How do you know an artwork is done? I’ve learned that I need to declare them done, otherwise they just sit in my unfinished paintings pile forever. 🙈

It’s actually really comforting to hear there are others who feel the same way. Sometimes the fact that everyone is so excited for summer makes my mood even worse. Maybe feeling a bit guilty that I can’t be excited for what the majority really seems to love.
I don't know why it feels so cringey to ask for help 🙈 I think it's cuz it's art & art is seen more as only a passion. But I can't live off passion as much as I wish I could. So I hope asking for help gets easier with time. youtu.be/nprKcZX9W14 🔗

Whoa, that's a lot of snow! We were lucky here with not much snow this winter. As a small dog owner it can be a real pain if it's super cold and snowy (she won't want to go outside).
