A tiny little 6lb baby wrapped up in a hospital bassinet.
21 years ago we became parents.
He was once tiny and now he's a giant.

Not knowing what the worst people in the world were thinking every fucking day
I have also read every day for 117 days in a row.
A screenshot from Storygraph showing that I've read 100 books this year
A screenshot of a post from May 7 last year showing that I'd read 100 books
Just finished my 100th book for the year. A couple of weeks quicker than last year.
A success!
4 types of puff pastry tarts on plates
Tarts and salad on a plate
Tonight's dinner is puff pastry tarts and salad.
We have:
Roast pumpkin, cream cheese, & sweet chilli sauce
Caramelised onion & Brie
Sweet harissa glazed capsicums & feta
Pepperoni pizza style
Love it!!!
I feel like everyone is considering it a sinking ship and nobody else wants to captain it right now.
A bowl of food as described above
More leftovers:
Leftover rice from Saturday turned into fried rice (with bok choy, capsicum, corn, spring onion, and garlic) with leftover pork tenders from last night.
Today's breakfast experiment is buckwheat porridge and I can't decide how I feel about it ππ
Yes please
I finished The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon and started Bryony and Roses by T Kingfisher.
VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?
ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]
Also the best people* were born in Hamilton
*Me, it's me.
I just want my fellow kiwis and like 6 other people to see me
Oh there's definitely a letter πππ
Why would he say "the letter" and "that letter" if he misheard and was maybe referring to any other communication.
You have to read the others in the What Moves The Dead series too, they're so good.
No they like to walk around the house a lot though and sometimes make noises
Pretty sure I saw our ghost π»
Bus typo: Help us score the gift of life, DONATE BLOOB
BLOOB FOR THE BLOOB GOD!
A back patio. There's nowhere to go.
The back stairs. Nobody could have left the property - I would have seen them
The left photo is the view onto the patio from the back door. Hard to the left is the laundry door (a small room, nowhere to hide).
The right photo shows the stairs and where I saw them walk towards where I stood to take the photo.
A red arrow points left toward the back door, another arrow shows where the stairs are
This is my POV. The bold arrow is the direction they walked in. We are up on the 2nd floor ...
For someone to have actually have been there they would have had to come into the house, go into the laundry, or sprint down concrete stairs. Also whoever it was walked towards the back door not towards the stairs...
I was in the kitchen putting cheese on crackers and I saw something white walk across the back patio.
I was like "what the fuck was that?" and went out into the back patio to check and there was definitely nobody there ...
Give me a second for incoming explanation ...
I think I just saw our ghost!!!!
Today's tasks are roasting pumpkin and caramelising onions for tomorrow's dinner (tonight is tacos so nothing to prepare in advance)
You just can't risk it.
"Warning: not to be eaten on beaches."
And nobody talks about the amount of people we lose to penguin attacks every year. Last penguin season was so bad.
