Step-by-step digital illustration showing the evolution from a soft grayscale sketch to a detailed final artwork. From sketch to final render.
I started with a loose grayscale base.
Then I built values first, keeping the palette desaturated to avoid emotional noise too early.
Textures came next: soft brushes for skin, rough strokes for the cocoon.
