If there's a draft, draft the gun owners first.

It seems America has run on the honor system for 250 years. Then we ran out of honor.
A madman is in charge and he’s surrounded by cowards. Now we find that impeachment is meaningless. The 25th amendment is meaningless. The Bill of Rights is meaningless. And the Constitution is meaningless.
I'd really like to see leadership calling for impeachment and removal, regardless of whether they have the votes to get it done. Same way we called for marriage equality before we had the votes. A leader's job is to lead. If a genocidal threat isn't impeachable, then nothing is.
Don't taco Tuesday this shit. Millions of people spent the day wondering if they would get vaporized, and no one in our government stood up to him. Nothing cutesy about it.
The fact that nobody seriously believes there is an institution in this country that will check the president—that we’re all just sitting here hoping that he gets distracted and fails to follow through on his genocidal threats—is the most damning indictment of our political system I’ve seen yet.
An American President threatening to end a civilization is not just anti-American, it’s flat out crazy.
If someone with an arsenal of bombs and guns made a credible threat to commit mass murder, and they were obviously mentally ill, then they'd be involuntarily committed to a mental institution.
Forget impeachment. Apprehend him for his own safety and that of others.
Regardless of whether it’s all talk, when the leader of our country expresses plainly genocidal intent, everyone has to do something.
For citizens of all political stripes, it means rejecting this madness. For Congress, it means taking action to rein him in. Now.
Soon to be appearing in midterm political ads for Democratic candidates nationwide. Thanks, Darnold. 🙏
This is an excellent summary of current circumstances
Kyle Kulinski: “A sundowning president with Alzheimer’s who’s a malignant narcissist is dragging us into WWIII, committing war crimes on a daily basis and crashing the global economy, and nobody is actually grabbing the steering wheel.”
Is it happening again?
Our country needs a version of a no confidence vote. If elected officials fail to provide basic services to everyday people, they should all be flushed and a new country wide election held.
#caturday fluff
Ossoff: "The WH put out a video depicting this war as a video game. When service members are returning in flag-draped coffins, & even more have lost limbs or suffered brain injuries or are fighting for their lives, this WH treats war like a game. It's a disgrace. And it speaks to a moral rot."
I like the way some countries have Crisis of Confidence procedures that automatically trigger a vote for new government. WE NEED THAT HERE! We'll never be safe from GOP majority in government.
Some thoughts on Trump’s war in Iran…

No new wars.
The morally bankrupt Trump administration has partnered with another morally bankrupt authoritarian to declare an unprovoked war on Iran, already killing scores of civilians.
We need an immediate vote from Congress on a War Powers Resolution. Then articles of impeachment.

Good evening vibrant skies! 🌄
Fair comparison.
Must be nice to have a functioning Supreme Court.
Texans: After nearly three decades in charge, “we can fix it” sounds like a confession.

The man who told reporters it’s time to move on from the Epstein files won’t shut up about the 2020 election.
One lesson from the Epstein–Mandelson affair is that we need to stop routinely rehabilitating political careers after serious scandals.
When politicians knowingly engage in grave ethical wrongdoing, that should permanently end their political careers. Being "talented" should not override that.
