Yeah, but there were some great lines in the body of the article. Between this and the Onion/Info Wars news, it's a giggly morning!

I would like to volunteer to be a part of the demolition crew that destroys all of the gaudy shit with Trump's name on it once he's finally gone. 🙋🏼♀️
They could sell tickets with all proceeds going to some deserving DC charity. Participants get to keep their hardhat and face mask.
Trump’s like a pusher constantly giving the markets snorts of cocaine. Wait till the high wears off and they’ll be selling everything just to buy some more.
The mother-child relationships fascinate me. I put Maarva in there, too. And while Maarva and Mon tried to meet their kids' needs, imperfectly, as best they could, Eedy's focus is all about HER.
*spoiler*
none the less, I teared up as she sat with her friends, grieving, in the aftermath of Ghorman.
Why do we have lawmakers in Congress who are willing to hold fellow members of Congress accountable for sexual assault but not a President?
bitches need our wings, dammit!
You're commenting on her looks, not judging her by them. Big fucking difference. I don't ever want appreciation of beauty to be discarded because we ascribe ulterior motives to sheer appreciation of something wonderful in our world.
Just turn it to LOW this time, ok?
Rainbow Dash, from the rather wonderful "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" is depicted in a meme that reads "oh my god Shut Up!". Dash is rolling her eyes, and pulling down on her cheeks. NOTE: Rainbow Dash would NEVER say this. It's a meme.
Thou shalt not commit blasphemy against Samuel L. Jackson’s monologue in Pulp Fiction, motherfucker.
Thank you, from a constituent and a gal who like democratic order.

Don a nice pair of beat up keds, and a few paint splashes to that pristine tshirt, and you'll be dressed in the style of my 1960s dad and his pals.
Couldn’t Donald just deem the strait closed with his Jesus laser?
As I thought would happen. A lot of air time - in the media sense, and the flight sense - wasted.
I suppose if it wasn't THIS team, I might have more faith that some groundwork had been laid. But that's hard to fathom right now.
I'm pretty tough, all in all. And part of that comes from knowing when to sit back and NOT look, and also to compartmentalize, so that I keep my wits about me for future battles.
I know - the reality it's satirizing that makes me bitter and angry.
Same with The Handmaid's Tale: I've read it twice, know the trajectory of the story, heard that the resistance takes a much bigger part of the tv series - I'm interested, but still, haven't made it past episode 8. Too painful.

The photo was of an ob-gyn operatory, with at least a half dozen men surrounding a birthing mom. All you could see was this cluster of white men, and the woman was completely hidden from view, no longer a visible participant in her own experience.
Just reading the headlines is making me angry; not sure what reading the articles would do to my head. i'm reminded of a picture that circulated in the 80's and 90s at the height of elective (by doctors) cesareans.

An orange tabby cat, wearing an aloha shirt and mirror shades, holds up a cocktail with a huge grapefruit slice on the edge of the glass. The picture has a blurred background suggesting a beach and blue green water.
Big Dreams
I've alway thought the Hat thing was good: Chefs, Firefighters, hardhats, nurses caps, baristers' wigs, etc etc. tied to particular jobs seems like a useful thing, as long as you get to take it off at the end of the day.
Of course, I dislike wearing hats, so this wouldn't have been great for me.
The plot of those episodes was around a trans-phobic (and often) main character figuring out what mattered, and how to deal with their uncomfortableness. Usually the trans woman or man was presented as totally comfortable with themselves, which was in itself an amazing, unusual thing to see on tv.
Maybe? But even Archie Bunker had a gay friend, and Edith a female impersonator friend who really lived in her persona. Not trans, but also, on the road to what Twin Peaks did.
It kind of IS a soap opera - it's terribly over-dramatic - but it's so much more. And weird. And worth it.

there's just no way that strange women lying in ponds distributing swords could be even half as bad as this
Personally, I say we give it a try!
