I LOVE stitching with variegated floss. No need to keep changing colour and no piece will ever look quite the same as another.
Have you ever tried stitching with it in spirals, rather than rows or columns?

I bought the lowest cost dupe of DMC threads on amazon I could find to see how they compare.
The first thing I did was sort them roughly into numerical order as I’d read in the reviews you sometimes got multiples of some colours and missed others.
And those that don't craft probably need them the most
