Hi Gwynn
Thank you for your email. However, I'm not sure I can help you.
You appear to be focussing on elections taking place in a country called Aotearoa.
The elections I am participating in are taking place in a country called New Zealand.
Do let me know if you decide to do a piece on NZ as well.
Kind regards
Nigel Elder | ACT Local

I humbly suggest, for everyone in Aotearoa New Zealand, when you wake up on Tuesday September 23rd ahead of other timezones in the world, Do Not Post. Just keep radio silence until about 11am when Australia realises they are still there.

Auror, the “we don’t do live facial recognition” company, rolling out live facial recognition across all of its sites in NZ.

Which is over 90% of big brand retail shops across the country 😑

Our brushtail Possum are different from Opossum, they raid fruit trees and rare birds eggs rather than corn (so far, that's a new fear unlocked). But we do have pheasants and large native swamp hens called pukeko that will tear the corn apart if they have a chance.

It's the army cutworm that I have issues with! We never had it in NZ but it got in years ago. We always have plague scale populations of green shield/stink bugs, they suck the kernels dry right through the husk. We train our chickens to eat green shield bugs on supervised patrols 😁

But my Cats sleep all day and get up at 3 am.
Dog sleeps twitching and barking and then runs off the side of the bed ...

Sleep all night and lay around in the sun until 9 like my Goats! ... wait no, they use family members as pillows and drool on them.

No better options really I'll stick with me 🤣

I used to sell lots of seed on there. I kept a regular range of veges and herb seeds, it was small but worthwhile.

First and only thing I've been able to think about that headline, yeah.

Like what the? disembark from plane, immediately remark about the beauty of your host's wife. I suppose it could be normal in some circles. But saying it twice is compounding weirdness too.

52/48, and they've moved "No" to the top

It's a hard one. I'm feeling like Seek did: trying names against the image to see how it feels and rejecting them all.

I am tempted to plug for Karamu as well: but the leaves seem just a little too long and pointy. May be just regional difference or state of maturity.

They lay their eggs in the top of the silks, so that makes sense. My climate is wet and humid though, I suspect the plastic bottles could cause mould (I'll try it, for sure). I'm wondering if a fabric sock over the top would do as well, or for that matter, taping it closed?

Govt considers sidelining Climate Change Commission from emissions advice Climate Change Minister Simon Watts repeatedly denied the plan, but then confirmed it to 1News two days later.

Constant lies from govt

Climate Change Minister Simon Watts repeatedly adamantly denied any plan to remove the Climate Change Commission's role in advising on emissions reduction plans, only for his office to two days later confirm the Government was considering exactly that.

Was that really supposed to be pay walled?

I can't tell ... one of the few benefits of having bad net. My connection is so slow I get to read some articles before they get hidden. But this one never hid at all.

Fighting over the bottom of the barrel is a good way of putting it 😆 I suspect this one in particular of being botted. I click on the things to keep an eye on the normal viewership ratio, lately there's been more looking fake - this one just stands out as inconsistent with the real human feedback.

Surprised that's polling at almost 50/50, after headlines today you might think it would be at quite a low point.

Heard an AI supposed 'true crime' story recently - fictionally talking about this super duper new AI security system, in the context of, the burglar knew the system would stop him once installed so he has to move quick.
Sounded weird - like an AI focussed on how great and infallible AI are 🙃

Garden progress: Carrots have been planted.

... carrots have steel shields because carrots are soft people 😅

No really it's because it doesn't blow away and holds even the toughest weed down. Carrots always need the same rows and I love recycling the same weed mat for many years.

I always spell 'intelligent' wrong. Auto cogent is the only thing that saves me from ... intellegent.
It's a personal embarrassment ... faced with a 50/50 choice between i and e, I use the wrong vowel 100% of the time. It is statistically significant 🤣

Between 11pm (must be washed out tired) through to 1 am (poor me, must have a sick lamb to feed or something).

Today, my sick lamb is better, safe in the care of her mum and I have no fear for her surviving the night - so I intend to make the most of it and get an early one 😁

Glad to see you're still around on here ☺️

For some reason today I thought about all the things around here I could be sharing with people who'd enjoy that, if I wasn't an unknown stranger they probably don't remember following years ago 😬 Decided to check in and see if the better side of social media is still reachable too.

Oh gawd sorry 😔
I really need to leave an occasional 'alive but absent' post or something. Didn't consciously decide to leave at any time tbh - first had my hands full with farm issues, then moved devices/ lost logins, found them again but logged in to a feed full of gossip and gave up on it.

I got both Buttercup and Triamble squash seeds this year. We love Triamble but the plants don't love us enough, we usually have success only with Buttercup.

I haven't told Dad about the triamble ... saving it for a nice surprise when they fruit, so he doesn't have to be disappointed if they don't!
