CHATHAM - A young driver became angry when a policeman told him he would be charged with a traffic offence and sped off, leaving 172-foot-long skidmarks, magistrate's court was told Wednesday
After hearing evidence, Magistrate F.K. Jasperson, QC, remarked: "I think he is guilty of angry driving, but I have some doubt whether he falls into the category of care less driving."
Magistrate Jasperson dismissed the charge of careless driving against Gregory Francis Brady, 23, of Elm Ave., Chatham.
Constable Eric Johnson said he had been attracted by the screeching of Bady's car tires on Third St., Chatham, and stopped the car.
"I told Brady he would be charged with making unnecessary noise and he became angry end argumentative."
Found this after my father passed. It so perfectly captures my father's spirit that it’s shocking.
