Breast cancer update! It's been a while. I'm done with chemo and getting ready to start radiation. Everything is going as well as can be expected.
I've been writing about my experiences, in case anyone is interested in reading my cancer blog: ashekillscancer.com

Just so youβre aware, every library in LA is offering free masks right now due to the fires. Another reason to love libraries! Letβs hope they continue after the fires are over. Masks save lives in many ways.
I'm uncomfortable with the inevitable "his work was always crap" because it seems to say "you can tell who the predators are by how well they write" and ... no no you absolutely cannot, that's the whole point.
How did I miss this when it came out 10 years ago? The author of Mists of Avalon, a book I've loved since I was a teenager, was a child molester and was also married to one. FFS. Why are so many humans monsters?

There has been a lot of bleak news lately, so I wanted to share this feel-good story to help cheer people up.
A lot of things suck in this lifetime, but I remember when the thought of this was incomprehensible. This is beautiful.
Oh no!! Boo.
say, what's that on the chart right at the US's inflection point? Computer, enhance.
Nice!!
Thank you!
I'd love to be added! Trying to post more over here. ME/CFS (20 years), POTS, likely MCAS and currently battling breast cancer.
Just found out she doesn't or can't do onions or garlic! That means we could eat together! π
Forgot alt text: Photo of me, a middle aged non-binary person with hat, glasses and a snap apart t-shirt, with my chest port hooked up to a chemotherapy infusion pump.
Greetings from chemo round 2!
Mornings have a great PR department like hey don't you want coffee and eggs and bacon and birds singing and gentle breezes and juuuust kidding here's some back pain and traffic and clothes that don't fit anymore and depressing news alerts, now get ready for work nerd
I thought long covid was worse than ME. Now I'm not so sure.
Maybe ME sufferers have been silenced more effectively.
one of the unfortunate things about PEM is that in the early stages, it doesn't necessarily look like PEM. it's just "work has been extra busy this month and I need a break" or "some mystery bug knocked me out for the weekend".
By the time you realize, it's too late.
I know from experience. #pwME
I've reached the stage of my life where there's nobody left in my circle but top notch weirdos and honestly the company is so so good

@amandablain.bsky.social @redrocket.bsky.social Can I please be on your G+ lists?
Been thinking a lot lately about that episode of Parks and Rec where Leslie and Tom have to rebrand fluoride in the water as TDazzle in order to get the public to support it.
Sweet!
Freddy Mercury died of AIDS 33 years ago today. With modern medical technology, he likely would have lived. Never forget how much progress against major infectious disease has been made in a short time. We are at risk now of rolling back much of that progress.
Thank you so much, sweet friend!! π₯°β€οΈ
