Has anyone tried putting pixel art in a VR game yet? I keep thinking about this old nick arcade show where kids would go "into the game" via bluescreen

One of my favourite facts is that the spiky tail of a stegosaurus didn't used to have a specific name, until Gary Larson published this Far Side cartoon, at which point "thagomizer" was adopted by paleontologists.
Learned today that nobody else refers to acclaimed novelist William Gibson as "Billy Gibs"

Back from #CES and I can’t believe I don’t have face cholera from all the glasses I tried. fingers crossed.
#CES Day 1! informal party was great, smelled the new OVR Technology product we’re excited to keep working with this year, got introduced to Captify and checked out the new exhibits at The Punk Rock Museum. Scored sphere tickets (xydrobe) and was horrified by some robots.
so jealous I didn’t see this in person today at #CES
Buttons are back. Knobs are back. Dumb devices are back. Own-it-forever software is back. Print is back. Personal websites and chronological feeds are back. Touching grass is back. People keep saying 2015, but it’s not far enough. The entire 2010s were a mistake. We must retvrn to… 2009.

"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness" -- 20 hours into his speech, Cory Booker is spitting absolute 🔥
As someone who quit drinking and orders a lot of NA beers at bars this is very accurate. I’ve had people flat out ask if I’m an alcoholic or if I’m a Mormon.

A screenshot of the opening app page with text: "Stereoscope displays stereographs in 3D." The instructions say "Copy a stereograph, then load it here".
Stereoscope, my new app for the Apple Vision Pro, just went live! It's a free viewer that turns side-by-side stereographs into true 3D images.
To use it, just copy a stereograph, then in Stereoscope, load in Parallel or Cross-Eye format. Crop & offset if needed.

I needed to read this today. Maybe you do too!
YO, for anyone into Severance, and ambient music, Apple had ODESZA do a fucking 8 hour long themed "Music To Refine To" set, and its freakin great.

Got to see @birbigs.bsky.social and Please Don't Destroy at UCB NY last night with special guest Sarah Sherman!
I hadn’t seen how @sandboxvr.bsky.social is creating “ride through” videos, but it’s a great takeaway from an experience like this.

In 2025, I'm going to try my best to get involved and care about local issues, especially around cycling and adding bike lanes. It's a "small" issue that, in theory, should be easy-ish for a lot of people to agree on. We got a victory in Kitsap this month. www.kitsapsun.com/story/news/2...
