3 interesting things here:
1) Antibiotic-resistance bacteria really seem to everywhere.
2) The idea of bears as "sentinel species" for environmental change.
3) Gut microbiomes are cool. As are bears.

Chuckie Egg holds up very well! It's one of my go-to demonstration games for that era of computer games.
The tiny bat exploring a dangerous cavern
An elf with a very 90s game aesthetic
A bellshroom
Avoid the green slime
I made a game in 3 days for #ldjam
Fling a bat and explore levels using echolocation. Like billiards but weird.
Let me know how it plays for you? Thank you!

What gets mandated in NY gets sold everywhere. A surveillance requirement for 3D printers, buried in NY's budget bill, wouldn't just affect NYers. It would become the de facto national standard. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...

Ever wonder how Final Fantasy gets the numbers you see during battle? How do your stats contribute to physical attacks? Are there any bugs in the game? (spoilers: uhh... yeah)
Behind the Code has finally reached Final Fantasy. Enjoy.

Had a nice chat with them at GDC last year. My mom was a major NetHack player, re-beating it several times over the decades until her death in 2015. She printed out ESR’s NetHack guide and had it in a hard binder. Qud is a marvelous modernization full of attention to detail.

Serious query: Did anyone out there subscribe to Neopets The Official Magazine and keep their issues?
Officially the weirdest bathroom.
I posted a music video I liked, got this tip about the show Samuel by the same animator, and now it’s my favorite thing, and I’ve watched the whole series twice! (Each ep is only 5 min long)
So I guess, social media works again?
Anyway, watch Samuel. So good. (Thanks for the tip, @antoine.fyi)

Hey, look. It's a decent scan of this legendary image!
Every time they post one of these I try to imagine creating a video game out of it now that it's legal
Enjoy this text adventure and this silly trailer/OP for it!
Recruitment banner for the Sovereign Tech Agency reading “We’re hiring - Executive Assistant.” The image shows two colleagues talking outside; the person on the right is Luisa von Beust, one of the managing directors the role supports. The footer reads “Sovereign Tech Agency” and “Join our team!”
We're looking for a structured, strategic thinker to join the Sovereign Tech Agency as an executive assistant to our managing directors. This role combines strong execution with an understanding of political processes and organizational dynamics, keeping the big picture in view... 1/3 #hiring
we need to extend git blame to the original question user entered in codex/claude code/whatever. I just want to know if this shit is an accidental stuff AI produced there or it was part of the original intent by author.

dear @unrealengine.bsky.social , please help @illfonic.bsky.social out with the lighting in Halloween. to capture that German expressionist look, there needs to be current-gen HDR Lumen to nail those low light environments. the F13 game (which I backed!) often crushed to gray, leading to frustration
Gemini no longer has the crown on losing days of chat history: Codex app just did it to me after a forced update. Annoying, but not fatal (this time).

even worse: Rust iOS was compiling for A7. targeting A12!cutnresukting binary sizes from 3MB to 2.5MB. iPhone XS (A12) is really sensitive to code size in my testing, so the uplift was immediate: WebGPU multi-draw indirect validation is now so fast that all my demos never exceed 16.66ms frame time.
I just noticed that even if you set minimum iOS to 18.6, xcode/clang still sets CPU target to A10 even though that iOS only supports A12 devices. setting it to A12 unlocked vectorization for several hot path loops, lower my CPU time on efficiency cores by over 10%. TL;DR: sweat the compiler details.
@mografijoe.bsky.social wanted to send you a quick note that doesn’t fit into your feedback form: I can’t start the Steam demo for mirria on my ultra-ultra-wide monitor. some pictures of what I see, if that helps. my child and I enjoyed it at Day of the Devs, happy to retest to help get it resolved
