Yes, it's a word. You saw it in a headline, misunderstood how it's being used and are now embarrassed. It's fine. Just read before arguing next time.

Good question, one answered in the article. I recommend reading it!

Give 'er a read! You'll find the article is not saying that at all. I think it's more complex and more human, though no less awful.

Thanks! And while I am always embarrassed about typos, I do see them as a cookie to reward people for actually reading.

I don't see why not. Since they don't share their reasoning, they don't have to worry about precedent.

John Roberts embodies MAGA cowardice The Supreme Court's shadow docket shows the conservative justices fear debate

"Republicans increasingly don’t want the public to know what they’re thinking or what they’re doing because, on some level, they know it’s indefensible."

"Tellingly, this case centered on climate change, an issue that perfectly illustrates how the right has abandoned all attachment to facts or reason in favor of tribalistic impulses and tantrums."

John Roberts embodies MAGA cowardice The Supreme Court's shadow docket shows the conservative justices fear debate

The shadow docket expose reveals that, despite his pretensions, John Roberts is the same intellectual coward as the rest of MAGA.

They can’t win arguments, so all they do is avoid.

An analysis.

I don't know why you're digging. It's obvious, once you read the article, that I think they want to destroy the country. The place cowardice kicks in is where they are afraid to deal with criticism.

Your belief this is an either/or situation only makes sense as a headline reaction without a read.

Unfortunately, I predicted this. Before I knew the identity of the shooter, which, as Jonathan notes, compounds the indifference.

But domestic violence is still treated as a "private matter," even when 8 children get massacred.

Because so many on the left hold their nose and reluctantly vote for them. But that is not a sustainable strategy, as Kamala Harris learned.

The use of the shadow docket reveals how the Republican justices have embraced Trump’s view that you don’t have to engage is argument — just lie and obfuscate your way into power.

Why read past headlines: I wrote a whole ass book during the first Trump term about how intellectual cowardice is the beating heart of MAGA.

SCOTUS proves my point. I tie it together.

Please read before arguing! Your “rebuttal” makes no sense. You saw a headline and I get that. But I believe you can read and article! And it will make your response smart and informed, instead of what you offered.

I'm unclear how telling them "more social services" will matter, when obviously they don't actually care about the birth rate. They just want women poor and uneducated.

It’s not clear what will happen to MAGA when Trump is out of the picture someday. Who will lead its next phase? Will it be JD Vance?

Read the article! Why would we want more teen pregnancies? Housing is good, but irrelevant here — I recommend reading!

MAGA wants teen births. It won't work Teen birth rates are at historic lows — and young women want to keep it that way

I also had someone trot out the "better social services will fix this 'problem'" line.

If they had read, however, they would realize this article is about *teen* pregnancies. Why would we want more of these?

Read! It's good for you and prevents embarrassment!

I love replies, but this thread is such a good example of how people can avoid embarrassing themselves by reading before replying.

I had someone who assumed only white girls are impacted. Not true! They want to harm girls of color even more, which reading would help underscore.....

Huh? Teen girls not having babies is not a problem, dude. Read before replying, please.

Read! Not true! The primary goal s destruction of girls’ futures. So of course they want that to happen to non-white girls.

Republicans are getting more brazen — in rhetoric and policy — in pushing teenage girls to give birth.

The good news is that it won't work. Girls aren't going to fall for it.

Why read past headlines: You, savvy, saw Republicans openly complaining there aren't more teen births.

I look at how it's not just rhetoric. "More teen births" is Trump administration policy.

But I also don't think it will work. And explain why.
