As we married uhm… a 'few' years ago, the condition of the plushie has declined, but I thought it's fun to post here.

My wife wants me to emphasize that it was a quick prototype, not a finalized creation. 🙂

briefly scrolled past complaints from an artist of a script they worked on referencing the Beatles. If the point is relatability then yeah thats lame, but the existence of a Beatles reference shouldnt be through that lens either. Make the reference because you want people in on a good thing.

And it never feels cheap because it's always stylized to emphasize something cool, cute or funny. No "disney acting" anywhere unless appropriate (like someone being manic lol). Fwiw to do this the drawings to be REALLY good, but if you've got an illustrative mind for those things, it's not too bad.

There are some shots where the camera is just slowly panning across a still image to cover dialogue. Characters will often slide into frame on a single drawing. The camera will do the same fast swing on a shot three times in a row to emphasize excitement or impact. It's all shorthand and it's genius

Everything is so big in scale and highly rendered and fluid in animation rn. Gotta push against it. Fuck lip sync too tbh, at least constant use of it. Save it and cool animation for important moments. Yeh
