At some point in your life, "fell over" becomes "had a fall".

Friend of mine had an approach to being a player which was "Pull the lever, drink the potion." Find the thing that needs doing and do it.

My improv teacher used to call this "just shoot grandma". I have no clue what the origin of the phrase is, but I carry that into my characters.
