I still have so much fondness for this kit, I already regret not buying more of them. The new one is cool and all, but at that price point I'm unlikely to own more than one.

More Black Legion! This time it's the Chaos Lord and his Sorcerer accomplice. Again adhering to the 2nd/3rd edition colour scheme I've used on the troops but with some modern flourishes to help them pop? Kinda? Its a vibe, right?

She-Hulk ruled. It took the sitcom vibes and humour synonymous with many of its comic sources, played earnestly with a sensational cast and had fun within the MCU.
It dared to not be another paint by numbers superhero story and I pity anyone who let people whining online stop them from watching it.
There's an end credit scene where they discover the asteroid came from Ullanor...
Cleaned up this ancient Mk1 Rhino for my Word Bearers army, made entirely from similar secondhand finds. This thing had at least 4 layers of colour schemes and the old beige plastic. Beige! Its nearly as old as me!

I truly miss Tumblr, specifically mid 2010s Tumblr. Not what ot has become now, by all accounts and from when I ladt checked it, it seems like its advertising has gotten so prevalent and dubious, it almost feels like a bad website from the 00s that absolutely gave you a virus for playing a song.
They just need some patches of flock on their bases, but the first 5 of my late 90s/early 00s style Black Legion are otherwise completed.
Kinda surprised the modern decals went on their shoulders as well as they have!

I hope I like it because I'd like to play with friends who won't play older editions with me. But the list building of modern Warhammer leaves me as cold as a Valhallan conscript.
The 10e detachment system felt incredibly cookie cutter, expanding it just seems oddly convoluted.

I just thought it was kinda funny if you knew DK started out as an alt colour scheme to SL way back in 3e Armageddon.
I don't doubt over time GW will give us more guard regiments and those models will aplease all but the most anal of guard fans. Will they enable full, comprehensive armies though...
Yeah - not a knock on the people who create that, but it feels like there isn't much audience for videos on IG outside that format and if there is, the platform doesn't help creators reach it. Even if they follow you, odds of them seeing feel pretty low. Leaves me wondering why we're still there 😩
The only reels I've ever made or been a part of have either completely tanked and throttled my reach or the 2 or 3 that popped off were 10 second trendy comedy skits that could have been Vines. If IG genuinely, actively pushed reels, it was pushing a very specific style imo.

Another model I quickly churned out over the weelend was Kyria Draxus! I got inspired and ran with it, very happy. Haven't decided how to base her though. Figure it ought to match what she's likely to accompany maybe?

Finished my Void Dragon on the weekend! Very fun to paint. I matched the base to @ali-whoops.bsky.social 's Daughters of the Fang Space Marines as we thought a neat plot twist in there lore is if their missing homeworld turned out to be a tomb world.

As a Thousand Sons player they were a thorn in my side, our resident Nid, Cron and Ork players had a much easier time.
What stands out in my mind is the tomfoolery enabled by the wargear list for squad leaders, with stormtrooper sergeants kitted out or artificer armour shrugging off krak missiles.
