Kenneth More discusses his upcoming role as Father Brown (Daily Mirror, 20th April 1974)
It's a great film.
Most of Agnes' work is outstandingly good. I especially love Cleo From 5 to 7, Le Bonheur, The Gleaners And I and Mur Murs but all of her stuff is worth a look.
I have a signed copy of the 7"

co-written by Joan Jett & Kim Fowley.
It's the best song Joan ever wrote and, although by all accounts Fowley was a less than pleasant man, he could write a good tune when he tried.
It was included on Vertigo's New Wave collection in 1977 & stood up well alongside Ramones, Talking Heads etc.
Once more for the bigots and stupids.

Happy 66th birthday to dub maestro Scientist.
On this mighty 12" Scientist transforms the Roots Radics rhythm to create a powerful dub foundation for Barry Brown's righteous teaching between right and wrong...

THAT is the kind of expert analysis we're looking for!
Move over Ted Lowe and tell John Spencer the news.
Last nights first watch #film was Stanley Kubrick's second feature, the low budget thriller Killer's Kiss (1955)
The acting's a little bit ragged but functional ; however, the photography, editing and staging are all excellent.
Recommended.

#RIEP Reggae veteran Ernie Smith has passed away at 80. From his 1973 hit 'Pitta Patta' to the classic 'Duppy Or A Gunman', Ernie was a master of honest, grounded songwriting. He overcame exile and political bans, leaving us a timeless catalog that still feels fresh. Rest in power. #ErnieSmith
