I can’t visualise at all - aphantasia seems to be the term. That said, I can often remember random details from years ago, and things like dates I can be good at. But couldn’t describe a face, or remember what someone I’ve just met is wearing, and so on.

I seem to recall Sir Alan referred to it as “a big load of toot”.

A full gourmet dinner, Scottish baby clothes, one of my video machines…

It should be on 106 on Freeview - 800+ is normally where duplicates go if you can receive from more than one transmitter, I think.

Handy I guess when you’re trying to figure out which Domino’s deal is best - do you want 2x12” for £20 or 1x16” for £18, or whatever. I don’t tend to whip out my calculator when I’m going for a meal out though.

I first joined in 2009 I think, and it remained pretty friendly and interesting for a good few years. It’s good to see interesting and fun updates from folk without all the ragebait and other crap being forced into my feed.

This place is filling up nicely. It’s like Twitter circa 2011 in here again, lovely.

It’s taken years but it’s finally happened… I guess I need a new starting word now?

Having grown up with GEM, I found this BBC clip from 1986 quite fascinating. Even a brief cameo of the AMSTRAD PC (my first machine)!

So with everyone finally jumping ship from Twitter it seems, and a bunch of folk moving to Bluesky, I’ve given @openvibe@mastodon.social a go, so I can see my Mastodon and Bluesky in one place. Hopefully Threads too, as I don’t really have time to go through 3 or 4 different platforms separately!

Not sure if it’s a glitch, but is this not the same as a couple of days ago? Had quite a few recent repetitions, don’t know if something’s up?
