The effect is available as a template if you want to have something similar!
These are super fast to pull off with Mixly's editor.

Works best with a mouse.
Quick mouse text interaction. Mouse position is tied to shadow length, how far text fill extends, and so on.
You can copy this one to get started with something similar.
The same underlying technique can be used elsewhere. Most params support per pixel masks.
