Good life and leadership lesson:
It is the ability to take a joke, not make one, that proves you have a sense of humor.

I start writing with an idea like this; teach this to kids:
The ability to be successful at anything is possible when you embrace the willingness to be embarrassed
Had a great chat with podcaster Matt Portell about unapologetically disrupting negatives for children: www.youtube.com/live/9EN-ENl...

Dance as if everyone is watching
Teach kids this:
When a doubter is in the room, I sit close by, when frown, I smile & when they try to intimidate me, I sit even closer.
I have the advantage- they think they’re better- the element of surprise thrives when I outwork them and don’t blame setbacks on something else.
A message I get to teach kids who are supposed to fail:
I’m thankful for the doubters who second guess everything, while I sit in gratitude for the life I got, due to nothing but hard work.
Kids, never leave the ring.
This is a must-attend event! Relevant, informative and practical and it’s ONLINE!
There’s always a smarter person in the room. Your advantage is to refuse to ever leave the ring- talent is overrated; perseverance beats natural skill- teach kids this.

Happy to see that my daughter, Danielle’s story of confronting her struggles inspired so many to read it!
Our story can help other struggling children. Thanks for reading!

Mind the gap: A leader's failure to offer free praise creates a vast, defining gap that negates strengths. Recognition is a low-cost strategy that prevents the expensive focus on compliance: www.smartbrief.com/original/pra... @smartbrief.bsky.social
Next week, check out the leadership article: praise is free, compliance is expensive.
—>As a school leader, I’ve learned even skilled individuals can fail when they neglect the powerful, low-cost strategy of recognition, making the critical gap that undermines team morale and community success.
