And your publication continues to support this government. A stain that will never, ever, ever wash off.

But OK, that's my opinion. And I think it's way Labour's polling has halved in a year and a half. But unless that opinion is represented in any future leadership contest, then it's not a battle of ideas.

They really, really are not great. Especially when you take in to account what Starmer ran for the leadership on. Anything less than fully reversing every single cut that every single department suffered since the financial crisis mean that you are cementing and therefore supporting austerity.

It's really not.

No, we want far bigger tax rises on those who can afford it. And spending isn't rising under this Labour govt. They've asked almost every department to make *more* cuts.

Mad fact... 42% of Labour Prime Ministers have had to fire Peter Mandelson.

Some taxes. Not the most important ones. And they will die on the 'we won't increase taxes on the rich' argument. Because their most important target audience is those people. And that doesn't really make much sense to most people.

And the problem that Labpur have is that anything that veers outside of what Tony Blair might rubber stamp is instantly labelled as incoherent and extremist, to the detrimental of the country. Hence why they are currently polling lower than 20% most of the time.

Ok but costs only really matter if someone makes the argument for raising taxes and spending to reverse the dameg of the last 40 years. Otherwise we're back to the battle of ideas being limited to low tax, low spend. And I'm not not sure that would be accepted in this iteration of Labour.

They did, and one time they gave one of Labour's highest vote shares in modern history. And then they did the opposite. I'm not arguing for Corbyn. But what remains of the Labour Party cannot possibly be a battle ideas. Because the party deliberately drove half the ideas away.

That's a weird place to put it...

A battle of ideas did actually take place in 2015. And the party establishment refused to accept the outcome.

It's not really a battle of ideas when they've driven half the membership out of the party, is it? Who remains to even vote for a new leader?

Well let's see how this strategy of telling "white liberals" to "fuck right off" works out in the local elections

Palantir Posts Manifesto Lamenting Post-War “Neutering” of Nazi Germany The surveillance giant has exploded in value as it’s scored massive contracts from the Trump administration.

Military contractor and surveillance giant Palantir posts chilling manifesto.

Palantir wishes to support powers which prioritise Western values and denigrate “subcultures” — a clear racist dogwhistle. Civilizations like Nazi Germany and imperial Japan should be returned to power, the post adds.

It was like how they reported Starmer's dishonest leadership campaign. A slight frown, followed by it being ignored. When in fact it summed up his whole leadership.

8 hours ago 1 0 1 0

It was still massively underplayed. They voiced it as a political issue rather than what it was, which was a national security issue. And it was soon forgotten/buried, which Starmer would have banked on. Until it backfired, which was inevitable. It should have been front page news every day.
