Oh, that is right, I have this account too...

I just shared a post regarding that, but I am sure when it comes to higher cost goods, the increase will be proportionately higher as well.

" On April 5th, a 54% tariff goes into effect on a wide range of goods imported from China. For those of us who create boardgames, this is not just a policy change. It's a seismic shift.
At Steve Jackson Games, we are actively assessing what this means for our products, our pricing, and our future plans. We do know that we can't absorb this kind of cost increase without raising prices. We've done our best over the past few years to shield players and retailers from the full brunt of rising freight costs and other increases, but this new tax changes the equation entirely.
Here are the numbers: A product we might have manufactured in China for $3.00 last year could now cost $4.62 before we even ship it across the ocean. Add freight, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution margins, and that once-$25 game quickly becomes a $40 product. That's not a luxury upcharge; it's survival math.
Some people ask, "Why not manufacture in the U.S.?" I wish we could. But the infrastructure to support full-scale boardgame production – specialty dice making, die-cutting, custom plastic and wood components – doesn't meaningfully exist here yet. I've gotten quotes. I've talked to factories. Even when the willingness is there, the equipment, labor, and timelines simply aren't."

Steve Jackson Games posted this to their blog and the post is getting so many hits their site is effectively crashed but the point is worth repeating

I hate that our brain juices end up working as they do. Especially amongst the creative folks. Huge hugs to those that need them, or just want them.

The brain juices play their own game, and sadly we are at their whim. Many of us have been where you are, and if you can fight them off long enough, you will be in the position to try to share the light at the end of the tunnel with others who struggle.

Added "The Playful" to my CGC gang this week. The playful because he likes to play with his food.

a solid black dachshund puppy sits on some white carpet and looks up at the camera. the pup’s fur and the photo’s contrast combine to make it impossible to see any distinguishing features of the puppy’s body; he’s just one little vantablack splotch in the middle of the frame. only his little brown eyes sparkle with a few reflections of the light around him.

This is Tux. He is the cutest black hole we have ever seen. And we thought you should see him too. 12/10

I DON'T LIKE THE PHRASE "A CRY FOR HELP." I JUST DON'T LIKE HOW IT SOUNDS. WHEN SOMEBODY SAYS TO ME, "I'M THINKING ABOUT SUICIDE. I HAVE A PLAN; I JUST NEED A REASON NOT TO DO IT," THE LAST THING I SEE IS HELPLESSNESS.

I THINK: YOUR DEPRESSION HAS BEEN BEATING YOU UP FOR YEARS. IT'S CALLED YOU UGLY, AND STUPID, AND PATHETIC, AND A FAILURE, FOR SO LONG THAT YOU'VE FORGOTTEN THAT IT'S WRONG. YOU DON'T SEE ANY GOOD IN YOURSELF, AND YOU DON'T HAVE ANY HOPE.

BUT STILL, HERE YOU ARE; YOU'VE COME OVER TO ME, BANGED ON MY DOOR, AND SAID, "HEY! STAYING ALIVE IS REALLY HARD RIGHT NOW! JUST GIVE ME SOMETHING TO FIGHT WITH! I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A STICK! GIVE ME A STICK AND I CAN STAY ALIVE!"

HOW IS THAT HELPLESS? I THINK THAT'S INCREDIBLE. YOU'RE LIKE A MARINE: TRAPPED FOR YEARS BEHIND ENEMY LINES, YOUR GUN HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY, YOU'RE OUT OF AMMO, YOU'RE MALNOURISHED, AND YOU'VE PROBABLY CAUGHT SOME KIND OF JUNGLE VIRUS THAT'S MAKING YOU HALLUCINATE GIANT SPIDERS.

AND YOU'RE STILL JUST GOING, "GIVE ME A STICK. I'M NOT DYING OUT HERE."

"A CRY FOR HELP" MAKES IT SOUND LIKE I'M SUPPOSED TO TAKE PITY ON YOU, BUT YOU DON'T NEED MY PITY. THIS ISN'T PATHETIC. THIS IS THE WILL TO SURVIVE. THIS IS HOW HUMANS LIVED LONG ENOUGH TO BECOME THE DOMINANT SPECIES.

WITH NO HOPE, RUNNING ON NOTHING, YOU'RE READY TO CUT THROUGH A HUNDRED MILES OF HOSTILE JUNGLE WITH NOTHING BUT A STICK, IF THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES TO GET TO SAFETY,

ALL I'M DOING IS HANDING OUT STICKS.

YOU'RE THE ONE STAYING ALIVE.

This has always stuck with me through fighting depression.

Pretty much decided on CGC for our Necromunda campaign. Leaning towards the name Hangry Hippos.

Dude, definitely get it. Brain juices run rampant, but in the end you are still here. ❤️

Definitely. GSC characters have all the personality. One of the reasons I love using their models in Necromunda.

Too much doom and gloom recently. Knocked my hobby mojo out, trying to reset it....

I am afraid to. I know at least one more "project" is hiding on my desk... the Death Guard land raider I am converting up.

I am afraid to keep digging around my desk, would probably find another five half-built kits...

Oh hey, I have five Solar Aux lasgunners here waiting for arms... guess I was five sets deep instead of four.

Hobby progress happened! Withergrasp Doubledrool is assembled, and the Kriegers got their belt kit, so are finished as well!

Now I am just bouncing between music videos by Jeffrey Nothing.

Hobby table is like the Land of Misfit Toys right now. Got 10 Death Korps, 3 LI Predators, 4 Justarian Terminators, and the BB star player Withergrasp Doubledrool... none of which are fully assembled. So close on all of them, but the squirrel is MIGHTY!
