Phrases like "grow a set" support toxic masculinity. Shame reinforces toxic masculinity. These men are frightened emotional wrecks on the inside & they were raised to be that way. They were victims of toxic masculinity since they were toddlers so their Emotional Intelligence was stunted growing up.

I can tell you there isn't one woman here who is surprised by that sentence. And the reason the world needed a study done on it is bcuz men won't listen to what women or feminism have said for DECADES about toxic masculinity. This is why men need feminism. Keep learning! They said showed no effects, meaning they weren't reactionary. It doesn't mean they didn't dislike the judgements on their appearance. It just means that women, regardless of how they felt about it, were able to emotionally self regulate which means you can feel emotions without reacting.
