OK, the strait answer (now that I've calmed down) would be email, word, excel, square, some art/photo apps etc. I manage a golf league website, frequently teleconference, and occasionally stream offshore (with an IP spoofer). I MUST have a reliable printer interface.

What got me raging on this topic was disc managment and the windoes 11 terminal interface and their 'stupidshell'. I only very occasionally need a terminal, but if I want it, I should be able to call it up... simply. I really just wanted to explore Linux and compare it to my apple and windows OS's.

I realize this is off topic and relatively trivial in the bigger world today, but I cannot convey how much I LOATH window 11... to the point that I am actively exploring installing LINUX. But, which one!?!? There are so many choices. What criteria should it address?!? 😵‍💫 #linux #windows #opensource

A green gym lock with big white numbers... which I can no longer read without glasses. I don't wear glasses when I'm lap swimming. Must now remember to bring them out to the pool with my towel and cap. Arghhhh!

I was newly retired in 2020 when my gym pool closed for the pandemic, and I felt cast adrift then. Now, rejoining, feeling more seniorish, I donned a new, more modest, more forgiving suit. Plus, I miraculously remembered my lock combo!! BUT... now I can't see the numbers with out my specs!!

The biggest lesson I learned today at the No Kings 3 rally in NW Tucson... bring ear plugs!! There were sooo many cars honking. The wind made the weather nice - cooler than its been lately. 90% of the people flipping us off were obese, 40ish, white males in big pickups. #nokings #tucson #FDT
