@everyone As some of you might know, some emergencies have occurred recently. My surgery was followed by my dog's vet care and that was then followed by the hospitalizations of my wife's family. I think that people who join the army need help, and I hate this system that instead of giving them that help instead directs them to a long-winded suicide, be it physically or mentally.

I just don't want misfortuned people to die for a system that was designed to get them to the point they are at.

One can argue that people who do join the army should know better and that their decision is stupid, but I simply don't believe that someone should deserve death for making desperate and uninformed choices in the face of an economic and reality that was built to put them down that path.

While I don't think that any army person is exceptional in any way, they are putting their lives on the line moreso than any police or ICE agent, who at no point is at serious risk of death. Soldiers dying in war is seen as completely normal, expected even. They won't be mourned or even acknowledged

It's a system that inherently targets the most vulnerable who do not see their lives as meaningful or worthwile enough to care about living. People who are isolated and shut off, and people who have been manipulated and propagandized to the point that they choose that isolation themselves.
