Severence is hands down in the small, hallowed realm of the very, very top tier shows i will witness in my lifetime. And the Season 2 finale was absolutely glorious to witness. Anything i say after this will involve many words of joyous profanity.

The Power Fantasy is one of the best comics i've picked up. Top of the craft. Cannot recommend it enough.

Yay! I had my first root canal today! The best way i can sum it up is i feel like i was sodomized by satan in my mouth.

There are some fine folks out there offering their takes too. Im just saying, dont be lazy. When the going gets weird, get weird with it. Or i guess, to quote Hunter Thompson: "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

Waving it all away "from this point on, it's all just a dream" drives me nuts. I wouldnt even bother mentioning it, but it happens SO much, and i want to be hearing discussions that have the imagination to grapple with Lynch on the levels he operates. Which do exist, dont get me wrong.

Lynch can be very dreamlike, no doubt. But his stuff is never "all just a dream." The stuff in his work IS happening. But he considers there to be layers of reality beyond the one we normally see and interact on, and his stuff brings those things into direct play.

Lynch loves to play with supernatural beings, other dimensions, pocket dimensions, symbolic surrealism, and mostly, above all: multiple layers of reality. Crazy, heady stuff. But unable to wrestle with and wrap their head around this stuff, they brush it away "from here on, its all a dream."

this being the 21st century, one turns to YouTube. But the majority of people on YT grappling with his work simply don't know what to to do with Lynch the moment he leaves conventional reality. And Lynch LOVES to leave conventional reality as soon as he gets the chance.

Since David Lynch died, i've been slowly going through his entire body of work. It's been incredibly enjoyable. My gripe, having nothing to do with Lynch himself is thus: When you finish one of his works, there is a desire to discuss with someone wtf was actually happening. Thus...

I have decided the time has come to get myself cancelled and i am going to do it like this: The 2018 remake of Suspiria blows the original 1977 cult classic film out of the water. There. I have blown up my life and reputation before anyone else could.

I am here for the relentless mocking of Elon Musk. Pick a hobby that brings you joy, i always say.

Now i know a horde of trump/musk c*** slurping cult sycophants are all over the net telling us that i didnt see what i saw, but in all my time on earth, i have never seen anyone, much less a far right bootlicker, "innocently" make such a blatant "mistake" of that nature.

Re: Elon Musk's "Roman Salute" (wink wink) - First thing i thought when i saw a photo was, you have to be a moron to accept a still photo of someone with their arm out. Any jacka** can find a frame of someone with their arm out and claim it's a nazi salute out of context. So i found the clip.

World problems i've seen eradicated in my lifetime: 17. Ring around the collar. We pretty much kicked the **** out of that one. Havent had to worry about that in a long time.

Someone just reminded me of a phenomenal sci-fi/fantasy book you simply MUST read:
This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone.
It's short and the prose is eloquent. Two women, Red and Blue, on opposite sides of a time war. I'm getting all mushy just thinking about it.

One of the joys of making music is when you're doing a big finale type track, and so your day is spent in this high intensity, big, epic emotional state. It's really quite ecstatic.
