These are people who work six days a week, go to church on Sundays, and have raised families—including U.S. citizen children. They should not be forced to leave the only country they’ve known for the past 26 years.
Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients from Honduras were granted legal status in 1999 after Hurricane Mitch killed 10,000 people and devastated the country.
They are terrified.
I support the President’s efforts to secure the border and deport violent criminals—but this is going too far. Hondurans who have been living legally in the U.S. for over 25 years, working and paying taxes, are now being threatened with deportation on September 8th.
I think we can all agree that transparency is a good thing. I don’t know how anybody could be against that.

This is not a Republican or Democratic concern; it is an American issue that should unite us all. We must come together to ensure that every veteran receives the mental health services they have rightfully earned and deserve. Let us take action and advocate for our heroes.
The challenge of accessing mental health counseling is a pressing issue & demands our urgent attention. The US Dept of Veterans Affairs tragically reports that 17 veterans take their lives every day. It is vital to understand that acknowledging PTSD is a testament to strength—not a sign of weakness.
June is National Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month. Today, as we commemorate the 81st anniversary of the D-Day Invasion, let us reflect on the reality that over 7% of our veterans may develop PTSD.
In the 24 hours we now remember as D-Day, more than 4,000 Allied soldiers, sailors, airmen, and coastguardsmen gave their lives in the name of freedom.
The greatest tribute we can offer to their sacrifice is to uphold and strengthen the democratic ideals for which they fought.
Lest we forget.
On June 6, 1944, 156,000 American, British, and Canadian troops launched the largest amphibious assault in history on the beaches of Normandy—a pivotal moment in World War II that helped turn the tide against tyranny.

But when they have the power to make a difference, they are instead proposing a budget that balloons the deficit and cuts vital programs. We have serious problems facing our country. We need to be serious and work together to solve them.
