Its kind of wild how few games give the player full control over their characters appearance and moveset. Kakuge yaro, mortal kombat Armageddon, drawn to life, graffiti kingdom, the WWE games, uh, street fighter 6 I think, I dunno I haven't played it. It's so much fun when a game has it.

Basically, what I'm saying is: I see no reason for this to exist. 5 felt like a perfect send off and finale for the series. I don't really see this adding anything and expect it to be "fine" at best.

Like, yep, there's a bunch of swords from the games, and sundaes, and pizza, cause pizza is the dmc meme. Cavaliere Angelo, Mundus, even the white rabbit from the dmc3 manga is in the opening. Is any of that gonna be in the series, or is it just "look fans, things you recognize!"?

On a more serious note I'm worried the show will be very fan-servicey and lack a lot of depth or understanding of devil may cry. And given that Dantes design feels like a Mashup of his 3&5 outfits and the trailer is full of DMC iconography, I think it's a valid concern.

Just for the record, I saw the new DMC anime opening. My heart genuinely sank. I hate Limp Bizkit so fucking much dude.

Credit where it's due, the game looks and runs pretty good. Character customization is a nice feature, and the game has the most robust photo mode I've ever seen in a game. And even though it feels pretty unpolished, it's still only a demo.

Okay, it felt like sifu with the martial arts and the kicking objects to trip enemies and the weapons. But the combat is more arkham. But you also have rage of the gods. And can use guns. And have dark souls lock on and a dodge roll. And "climbing" sections. And a useless skill tree.

Act of Blood feels like an unpolished version of Sifu. (Why do I have to toggle between walk and run with an analog stick?) The combat feels pretty simple and mindless, and control is taken away from the player way too much. I wouldn't call it bad, but it lacks a hook I guess.

Genuinely a big part of why I prefer pc gaming. Way more graphical options, and if it isn't in the settings it's usually in an easily accessible config file

Things I wish all modern games had at launch:

⏸️ Being able to pause cutscenes

💾 AUTOSAVE

🎮 Remapping controls and buttons

🪖 Adjustable difficulty for each aspect of the gameplay

For the record I'm still mad about resident evil 2 making the protagonist a cop with the last name "kennedy", blonde hair and blue eyes, who was late for work because he has a drinking problem, and then insisting that he's Italian.

Here's my take on the switch 2 having ps4 pro level hardware: you'd be amazed how many games you can run on an old computer just by dropping the resolution to 720p, and I don't think you'd need anything much higher for a screen that can fit between your hands. Also portable.
