I tried it, but unfortunately working on a superhero game for 4+ years has me superhero'd (and villain'd) out lol
I have and liked it very much!!
not having the best reading month so if you have recommendations for any of the following send them my way?
- disabled scifi/fantasy protagonists
- cool magic system the book does not break the rules of
- childfree by choice spicy romances
it also gives off high school clique vibes sometimes
it is an earworm but yeah those lyrics are a bunch of nonsense
As someone who is chronically ill and thus at larger risk, it also taught me that a lot of people think I should just disappear from society so everyone else can be "normal"
They are getting so close to their funding goal for this collection I need you all to make it happen!!
YES
This is also how I work through an assignment I don't want to do by the way - I write about how it's stupid and I hate it and here are the reasons why and then I do the assignment lol
Write about what you want to write rather than writing the thing itself. Sometimes you just need to kickstart the act of writing to get in the groove. Plus you won't have an empty page to stare at anymore.
@samwren.bsky.social made us a meme for if we ever started doing it at work lol
This one was a game changer when I figured that out lol now I basically never write in order
yeah I see this and go you know what else would be faster? a car
April 25th is Independent Bookstore Day (at least in the US)!!
Had a man tell me early in my career "I know you want to be a writer NOW, but when you want a career you're gonna be a producer" and my writing career has been to spite him ever since
Watch a lot of BookTubers, and the vast majority of them now include some kind of "reading my existing TBR" series. Also way more unhauls than hauls these days.
had the same experience tutoring at a community college vs a private university
cc: wanted help, were seeking the ability to do a thing themselves
private: can you do my homework for me
I've had a director-level dude introduce himself to press as the sole writer of a thing I also wrote on WHILE I WAS STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO HIM
this applies not just to the games industry and it's starting to feel like it might, in fact, be the Biggest Reason
I will be honest you put Dys or Tangent on a thing I will buy it
me every time they announce a new studio made up of former AAA devs
you cannot convince me some of those are not the same man multiple times
<sigh>

Ranch Didn't Become a Mathematician doesn't roll off the tongue either
was hoping somebody would call out the obvious, thank you

I'm not even army but watching these men lose their minds is so fun
Can confirm, I hate driving but am very attached to my 19-year-old car
