We are also glad to see that the Bill will help protect existing lifeline bus services, but to truly end the current ‘postcode lottery’ we need to ensure that no community is completely cut off from public transport. That’s why we are urging the Government to ensure all areas have at least a minimum, reasonable level of bus services and target funding towards places not currently served by buses to help them to plug the gaps in the network."

It was a pleasure to see the #CVLR on Wednesday of #BetterTransportWeek! A home-grown innovation that can make building new tram systems and extending existing ones much cheaper and quicker!
But there remain gaps in service provision to be addressed. We discussed franchising and other models available, but many local authorities will need support through the process
