Can I read this as a standalone?
Too easy! A few choice words to Fergus & Dean and they were circling each other like overweight alley cats. The #clash, when it came, was more of a squash, but their fists were still like mallets.
The crowd oooed as one of Dean’s yellow teeth flew through the air & I slipped in the back. #vss365
It was a whisper designed to be heard: One does not #associate with riff raff!
Gallantia blinked slowly, eyeballs rotating behind her green painted lids til they found their target.
The girl ignored her & stuck out a hand covered in inky twisting vines:
I’m Lacey, but you can call me Raff. #vss365
Was my first and immediate thought. 👍
Your public distaste,
Dressed up in god’s garb,
Is made clear in all
Your sharp slicing glances.
But when we’re alone,
With the ticking clock
And your heavy breath,
That look turns sly,
Those values stretch,
Tight #elastic as you pray
Forgiveness,
Even as you fall to your knees.

Pretty much the GOAT of hot gay erotica in my book! Didn’t realise he was on Bluesky!
“Only ten years ago we were the best in the world in the annual LGBTI Rights Ranking. We’re now 22nd... This is not just an embarrassment abroad – it’s also a tragedy at home for tens of thousands of people struggling to live lives of quiet dignity.” goodlaw.social/5mgp
Is Baldur’s Gate 3 hard? Everything is taking an age and it feels like every single battle is a knife edge of survival. Help? Advice? #baldursgate3 #bg3
Graphic with a purple background. On the left is a Blue box that says 'trans people belong'. Below that is a pink box that says "Email your representatives now and stand up for trans rights!". On the right is a simple map of the uk, coloured in the trans flag colours. At the bottom are the Equality Network and Scottish Trans logos.
Are you an ally who wants to speak up about protecting trans people’s rights?
Use our simple tool to email your MP or MSPs to tell them how worried you are about what the UK Supreme Court ruling might mean for how trans people are treated in their daily lives:

Ahhhh, that moment when you’re already behind and late with work things and realise that you’ve REALLY fucked up something else. 🥺
I am a month late to this but feel visceral rage just thinking about Shaggy’s It Wasn’t Me.
This essay traces the long and turbulent history of American booksellers who have faced censorship, harassment, and even violence for defending the freedom to read. Through vivid anecdotes and historical cases-from undercover stings in the early 1900s and legal battles over “obscene” literature, to FBI surveillance of Black bookstores and bomb threats against feminist and LGBTQ+ shops-the author illustrates how bookstores have repeatedly become battlegrounds in the fight for civil liberties and free expression. Despite intimidation from both government and private groups, booksellers have pushed back, shaping legal precedents and rallying communities to defend First Amendment rights. The essay ultimately calls on readers to recognize bookstores as “arsenals of democracy” and to support their ongoing role in safeguarding intellectual freedom.

All your titles are showing on the UK store 👍
The fight for the rights and dignities of trans people is a fight against the thin edge of fascism. It's a hill we are willing to fight and die on. If you'd like to support us with a donation dedicated to trans rights, you can do so here. I am donating £1,000. goodlawproject.org/crowdfunder/...
I've been reflecting some more overnight on the For Some Women Scotland case. 🧵

What the hell does ‘not palpable’ mean? Palatable? Plausible?
Can I just say how much I enjoyed the darkening blue backdrop too! Way to win on attention to detail!

Album cover art for DJ Koze’s new album, Music Can Hear Us. An abstract, almost primitive styled cartoon of a figure stands in the foreground against a black speckled background which looks like space. This impression is highlighted by the magenta and red paint splash in the centre of the image which reminds me of those photographs of galaxies and space phenomenon you see. The title runs along the bottom of the image daubed like painted in white
Easily the most fun in music so far this year. Gaga is fun but Mayhem is still a fairly typical soft rock/pop album to me. But DJ Koze’s fizzing clattering paintbox of sounds and voices and colours is something I am loving listening to over and over. #music #djkoze
The man at the end of the alley whistles. I want to say a tune, but the notes bleed together like a kettle left to boil.
Lamplight catches a smile, but as he sidles closer, I see grey teeth filling his maw like bars on a prison window.
Tonight, he announces, I’ll be the #death of you. #vss365
No #grief for this funeral, only duty. An uncle never known, not to be missed.
Mangled pheasants dot the roadside like gruesome mile markers. Acid green shoots tear free of silver sheaths, pockmarking the trees with new colour. We drive in silence, the gaudy riot of life & death unremarked. #vss365
I’ve no idea if this affects anyone who might see this, but undermining the right to vote with seemingly no need to directly inform people affected just sounds procedurally and ethically awful.
Cover of Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh. Against a black background, the face of a bearded man, made from vines, leaves and foliage, is intricately made out.
Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh is exceptional and feels like a timeless classic to me (also accept that Gideon the Ninth is the absolute dogs bollocks wonderful). I feel like Tesh got recognition for this, but deserves much more?
The rather glorious cover of Hell Followed with Us, picturing a young trans teenager in blue jeans and a red crop top, with many wings sprouting from their back, each with a red eye, hovering above a ruined urban skyline
In honour of international Trans Day of visibility, I wanted to shine a spotlight on trans artists whose work I’ve loved. Last year I read Hell Followed with Us by Andrew Joseph White and was bowled over by his visceral post-apocalyptic story of transformation and the monstrous- go read it! #tdov
Octo Octa’s album Resonant Body depicts a slightly abstract almost naive painted landscape. The earth of orange broken by a river and clumped greens and browns of trees. The background is lighter and trees are more visible. A broad rover cuts through the scene and almost hidden on first view is a small figure, possibly unclothed, back to the viewer on what could be a meditative pose.
In honour of international Trans Day of Visibility, I wanted to share some of the artists whose work I have loved. Maya Bouldry-Morrison records as Octo Octa, and her dance music is joyful and physical. Her album Resonant Body is a particular favourite of mine. #TDOV #nolgbwithouttheT
