Programmable generation of arbitrary continuous-variable anharmonicities and nonlinear couplings Harmonic oscillators are promising continuous-variable (CV) quantum resources because their infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces allow for resource-efficient quantum computing and simulation. To reach ...

A new hybrid continuous-variable/discrete-variable method can implement arbitrary non-Gaussian operations by decomposing target Hamiltonians into Fourier components realized via bosonic quantum signal processing.

Quantum PhD students Join the conversation

Our starter pack of quantum PhD students is now full! (Unfortunately Bluesky caps it at 150.) We're happy to report that we have rescued at least 36 souls from X who joined Bluesky via our starter pack!

Also, sharing for friends:

Anyone fancy a (minimal teaching load) tenure track position on quantum computing on a sunny island 🌤️ 🏝️? The Cyprus Institute are also hiring a tenure track assistant proff on quantum algorithms.

Not really, I’m asking because I’m not super into optics.

Yeah, I have a general idea.

Imagine your noise comes from a random Gaussian displacement. With squeezing, you can amplify the noise in position and reduce it in momentum. Why isn’t something like this possible for photon loss?
