It’s worth the read, I read it on my own purely out of curiosity but I don’t know if it is assigned at West Point. I do feel that it should be and it is wildly apropos at this moment indeed.

To be fair, this is exactly the art of war as it was written by Sun Tzu but America has forgotten how to read, so…guess it’s irrelevant now…😖

On the big day, we're hosting #JaneGoodallDay and celebrating by taking action. You can do the same:

• plant trees or native plants
• take part in local clean-ups
• eat plant-based meals
• donate to causes close to your heart
• advocate for animal welfare
• bid in our Online Birthday Auction

The novel 'Bog Queen' by Anna North leans against a tree trunk in the glow of the setting sun.

The novel 'Bog Queen' by Anna North leans against a tree trunk in the glow of the setting sun.

This was a fun read, with so many themes I enjoy and obsess over: forensic anthropology, bog bodies, motherhood, environmentalism, the Roman Empire, sphagnum moss, academic imposter syndrome, cartography, toxicology. I loved the changing perspectives, from modern Britain to Celtic Britain and back.

‘You must not give up’: the last testament of Jane Goodall The conservationist, who died yesterday, led a 65-year fight to raise eco awareness. She gave the Financial Times one of her final interviews

“When you die, it is either the end of everything – you are gone, snuffed out, finished, or there is something. I happen to believe there is something – so I can’t think of a more exciting adventure than finding out what the something is.” - Jane Goodall www.ft.com/content/9600...
