This was a fun read, with so many themes I enjoy and obsess over: forensic anthropology, bog bodies, motherhood, environmentalism, the Roman Empire, sphagnum moss, academic imposter syndrome, cartography, toxicology. I loved the changing perspectives, from modern Britain to Celtic Britain and back.
