🌊Thank you, Kamloops. 💚
Yesterday was a powerful reminder of what community can accomplish together.

More than 175 volunteers showed up to clean our shoreline, joined by 20 amazing volunteers who hosted booths and our generous partners and supporters who helped make the day possible.

And the yearly #kamloops air show has begun. My favourite is watching the “Ducks” Canadair CL-215 and CL-415 amphibious aircraft flying into YKA in formation for landing at the end of the day.

Transportation costs in #kamloops are some of the highest in the country. Another reason transit and active transportation are so important here.

Download the Bird app on your phone to locate and unlock available devices. When you’re finished, you ride, park in a designated parking area, and end your trip in the app.

#kamloops has been extremely hard hit by this policy. The fallout will last for years: fewer young professionals, higher vacancy rates, layoffs & early retirements of skilled faculty & staff at TRU.

Separated Bike Lanes Means Safer Streets, Study Says — Streetsblog USA Cities that build protected lanes for cyclists end up with safer roads for people on bikes and people in cars and on foot, a new study of 12 large metropolises revealed Wednesday.

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

What about painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.
