This morning I visited the oldest public library in the English-speaking world, complete with a medieval catflap and the desk where Karl Marx sat with Friedrich Engels as they conducted research for The Communist Manifesto.
It was bloody great 💙📚

Of course, after a period of not being sure what to work on, I now have THREE almost empty first drafts in my WIP folder 😅 💙📚
So, I may be retiring my dystopian WIP for the foreseeable future
and writing a whole NEW dystopian, anti-hero WIP that’s been rattling around my head for about a year and is going to be fuelled by pure rage 🔥
I have sold a grand total of two books this year.
Not this week, not this month, THIS YEAR.
I’m not trying to get sympathy or pity, I just think it’s sometimes helpful to share the bad as well as the good.
