I say as I'm using this to procrastinate on piano practice.

Maybe I should just unfollow every account but the one that posts constant reminders to go draw. And then start checking bluesky more than once a month. Maybe I'd draw more.
Omng is this for real
Ooh, I've definitely seen that behavior too! They'll pick up nuts and put them down again until they find the right one. Sometimes it looks like they're trying to find the most comfortable one to carry?
Blue jays for me. I love watching them fly off to hide them, especially when they don't try very hard.
A shot of an eggplant-shaped samurai helmet sitting on a wooden stand in a museum display case. It's made of darkened metal and has gold trim and accents.
A closeup shot of some buttons, fasteners, and ties on a small section of a samurai armor set's front chest plate. There are various ornate patterns, complex knots, and overlapping pieces.
A closeup shot of the thumb and forefinger of a European steel gauntlet inlaid with gold. It has bronze rivets and a white leather glove under the overlapping finger armor pieces.
A closeup shot of an extremely ornate double barreled shotgun's firing mechanism and trigger. The hammers are shaped like squirrels holding nuts and there is floral filigree everywhere.
Time for another reference dump!
This zip file contains 2,566 photos (6.58 GB) from the Metropolitan Museum of Art arms and armor collection. I tried to focus on the types of details you don't see in most available reference, like hinges and fasteners.
Enjoy!

A closeup view of an ornate cuirass and tasset, showing heart-shaped designs along the edges of the metal panels.
An extremely ornate ceremonial halberd head showing etched and blackened designs with various plants, mythical creatures, and heraldic designs.
A closeup of the shoulder intersection of the cuirass, pauldron, and bevor of a piece of 1500s field armor. Some ornate etching of the crucifixion is visible in the lower right corner on the cuirass.
Here are 543 images (1.5GB) of items at the Philadelphia Museum of Art arms and armor exhibit
You're free to use them for anything, even commercially. I tried to focus on details not usually represented in available reference material

Here's a small sampling:
I always wait to watch these until I can watch with my whole family together. We always end up laughing our heads off, and this one kept the pattern going! Unfortunate Aquaman nearly broke us all at his first appearance ๐คฃ
(that was my first time seeing Hamlet, played straight, complete, instead of bits and pieces played for comedy)
I went to see Hamlet with my husband and son this week and oh boy I really did not expect to cry that much.
After Ophelia's first family scene I was like "oh I don't know if I want to be here, all these people are going to die and it's going to be really sad, oh no" and you know what? IT WAS.
I want to know which Wodehouse. You have left out the most important part here.
You're at the Atlantic now! I didn't know this! Hooray, your articles were the one thing I missed from the Post!
I've been using Podcast Addict since switching Android and it's been good for me. Sometimes it can't find a podcast, but I can almost always download it from somewhere else and still put it in my PA queue.
I lived in the Discworld for about eight months in 2017, I'd say.
Awesome, I'm going to try out both of these.
I switched to mapquest after the Gulf of Mexico thing, but I'm currently in a different city for the weekend and I've gone back because mapquest just isn't giving me enough info to be a pedestrian in a strange place. If you've got a good alternate I'd love to try it!
I haven't read that one yet! I will add it to my "seek this out" list. Thanks for the suggestion!
This episode was fantastic. I listened in the car and had to keep reminding myself to go home first to check my supplies instead of immediately heading to Blick to look for new tools.
Reading Sparrow Hill Road by @seananmcguire.bsky.social and I am CRYING on the train, this book is about CAR GHOSTS, why am I CRYING what is this WITCHCRAFT

We just saw "inject vial marked 'stem cells' into patient for instant cure!" in the episode of Sisyphus we watched last night, and commented on how it wouldn't work that way. I didn't think it was a thing people really tried....
Ooh, it's on libro.fm, too! *adds to wish list for when credits renew*
Gasp! It's been such a stinky day I forgot you were due for an update! Hurrah!!
I'm not a horse expert by any means, but dang that looks like a pretty good horse drawing to me. I am impressed, 1904 comics man!
Every time I hear about this event I'm like "damn I wish I was a cartoonist" but I feel like "I want to go to Alaska robotics camp" is probably not enough motivation for me to spend enough time at it to be able to get to Alaska robotics camp ๐
Can you use a comma installed upside down?
I heard the argument that "I'd rather risk giving money to a scammer than not give to someone truly in need," which ok, I use that thinking myself when deciding to give the guy on the street corner $20.
But on the internet? Where we know for sure scams are endemic? That's not the same to me.
Mine is going to enter high school this year. I'm encouraging him to keep the idea in mind.
This is my favorite fact of the day.
A very entertaining-to-me mash-up :)
This is that time for me! I'm a little afraid to learn more tbh
