On Monday I went on Ed James' BBC West Midlands (WM) Radio show and he let me talk about the the divisive outbreaks of flag measles and Raise the Colours for 10 mins!

The first 3 mins did cover most of what I wanted to say though:

Can confirm. Lots of residents came to ask them not to put flags up but most kept a distance since Ryan Bridge runs a sick livestream of provoking and being nasty to local people which we know from last Tuesday. One woman lay under their vehicle. Unclear what happened next but he was arrested.

Lately I've been finding it hard to be in the AI space. There might be many elements to it. But one prominent one is how annoying I find that questionable people get the most attention (typically tech people with high financial interests), along with unreasonable claims. 1/

Good news below but to reiterate that the Abingdon Rd incident was appalling. We have learned they provoke people for clicks and entertainment & the live streaming is curated. It’s like 21st century beer baiting where normal people are the bears

Correction. It was the council staff who took them down and were then followed and harassed by masked men who said “the police are on our side”. Watch this - the police condoning masked men following council workers

Flags are symbols, of unity or division. Context matters. The Abingdon Road flags were put up by fascists. They want to commandeer our flags as symbols of white nationalism and anti immigration. They mark their territory like dogs, at every lamp post

Local residents have taken down the flags and written this which echoes your points

The BBC minimising sexual misconduct to create a clickbait headline. Choosing grabbed waist not thigh or “near groin” and “big girl” because it’s playful. He’s a sexual perv who had already been struck off for lying and dishonesty for 8 years
